Delirium is a clouding of consciousness in which you are disoriented about time, where you are, and whom you are with. Some forms of delirium may be euphoric. Others are terrifying.

The majority of people with bipolar disorder believe that the public are unaware of and do not understand the condition. As a result, as many as one in four do not tell family or friends they have it for fear of social stigma, the results of a major new survey have revealed.

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, is a severe and chronic condition. Those affected experience sustained high moods, followed by periods of sustained low moods. High moods can see the person feeling elated and needing less sleep. Low moods can range from mild to severe depression.

Almost 40,000 people in Ireland have the condition.

There was once a little prince with a magic crown and a far away stare. An evil warlock kidnapped him, locked him in a cell in a high tower and took away his voice. There was a window with bars, and the prince kept smashing his head against the bars hoping that someone would hear the sound – and find him. The crown made the most beautiful sound that anyone had ever heard. You could hear it ringing for miles. It was so beautiful that people wanted to grab the air.

They never found the prince. He never got out of the cell.
But the sound he made filled everything up with beauty.
