That makes my heart ache. Last week my high school lost yet another student to suicide. I spent much of my high school years watching one of my closest friends struggle not only with mental illness but also with the crushing side effects of a medication that should have never been prescribed to a child. It so often seems to me that young peoples’ mental health is completely trivialized.

Intense and powerful story that is all too often true. I hope this law passes.

Last week my town and two boys lost a mother to suicide. In February I was hospitalized after walking a ragged edge for years. Sometimes everything looks stable or “up” and then the horrible down appears to come out of nowwhere. I too hope this law passes.

Girls like her are the reason I am NEVER quiet about my illness.
That poor family, that poor girl. So many things that could be done better…
