Driving Me Crazy

Right now it’s crunchy/scrapey noises. I hear it when my coffee mug touches my sweater or when my fork runs along the plate. I hear it in my ears even after the actual noise stops. Like cotton getting pressed together or really dry snow under boots. Or chewing lettuce leaves. Just typing about it makes me cringe.

I’m also super sensitive to smells. Sometimes they make me cry with….frustration? Irritability past the point of knowing what to do about it? Super-sadness? Not sure. But all this makes me feel weird.

Smells . . . I had to ask my poor assistant to stop wearing perfume for the time being because it makes it impossible to concentrate on anything else except the smell. Hoping you level out soon.

Ahh yes the crunchy noises. My personal fav….hearing my heart beat or my eyes blink.

Sheesh, who needs Halloween? I’ve got a fun house in my head!

Seriously. Would having some white noise help? Like a fan or a tick-tocking clock?

It will pass Leah…..I’ll be hopeful for you.

Did you know that Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause/elevate both anxiety and the noise sensitivity thing? Maybe a supplement would help. Just a thought.

I get so mad at smells, especially voluntary ones like people who wear too much perfume (which is practically all perfume, in my nose). It is so hard for me to remember that they don’t know that it is like punching me in the face with their smell.

Oh I am so sympathetic about this. I hate..no HATE the sound of a razor blade cutting through a piece of corrugated paper – like a box or art board. Shuddering and goose bumps as I write this thinking about it. There is something about the dull sound that sets me off.

plastic chip/snack bags. make me INSANE. I thought I was the only one…
    Gonna try B12 supplements. thanks!

“Oooh that smell! _ cant’t you smell that smell?”

EVERYONES MOUTH smelled like shit today
like it was community dry turd munching day.

Oh, the smells and sounds. I just got through that with my dosage change. It drove me nuts. One day, I could smell my own skin. Gah. I hope that mellows out for you.

Do check in to the B12, though. I’ve heard good things.

I know what sound you are talking about and now it is making me cringe. I am also super sensitive to smells and constantly smell things that others cannot.
